Celebrating Sign Language and Deaf Inclusion in Isiolo

Ability Inclusion Alliance joined learners and the Deaf community in Isiolo to celebrate International Sign Language Month, recognizing the vital role of sign language in creating inclusive communities.

The celebration brought together an opportunity to appreciate Deaf culture, strengthen inclusion and highlight the importance of accessible communication in education and everyday life.
For Deaf learners, access to sign language supports communication, learning, confidence, participation and a sense of belonging. A truly inclusive society must ensure that Deaf children and young people can access education and participate meaningfully without communication barriers.

Through our engagement in Isiolo, Ability Inclusion Alliance continues to promote inclusive education, accessible communication and meaningful participation of persons with disabilities.
