Annab Mohamed is a dedicated advocate for inclusion and equitable development, with over 30 years of experience working with humanitarian organizations, including the United Nations, across Kenya and internationally. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, an MBA in Strategic Management, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Psychology.
Her extensive professional journey reflects a deep commitment to advancing social justice, mental well-being, and community empowerment. Through her leadership, she has championed inclusive programs and initiatives that promote dignity, opportunity, and participation for all.
As the Founder and Chairlady of *Ability Inclusion Alliance*, Annab continues to lead with vision and purpose fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and inspiring a movement toward a more inclusive and compassionate society.
Dr. John Onala (Ph.D) is a seasoned special educator and educational psychologist with over two decades of experience in teaching, teacher training, psycho-educational assessment, and designing interventions for learners with developmental and learning difficulties. After beginning his career in Kenyan schools and later earning a Master’s degree from the University of Birmingham (UK), he pursued doctoral research at Kenyatta University, where he graduated in 2016. Dr. Onala has taught at Maseno University, mentored numerous special educators across Kenya, and currently serves as Director at First Steps Intervention, an educational consultancy offering assessments, interventions, and teacher workshops. His research interests focus on educational inclusion, early intervention, and vocational training. Dr. Onala collaborates with schools and organizations to enhance learning support services, conducts assessments for exam accommodations, and trains educators in identifying and addressing learning difficulties such as dyslexia. His rich experience across public and private education sectors continues to inform his impactful work in advancing inclusive education in Kenya.
Marianne Chepkorir Rop is a passionate and dedicated counseling psychologist with a strong commitment to advancing mental health and inclusion within communities. As a board member of the Ability Inclusion Alliance Community-Based Organization, she brings years of expertise in psychological counseling, mentorship, and policy development.
Marianne serves as a mental health mentor and advocate, working closely with individuals and communities to promote psychological well-being, build resilience, and break down barriers surrounding mental health stigma. Her work bridges the gap between grassroots support and strategic policy engagement, contributing thoughtfully to mental health policies that uplift vulnerable and marginalized groups.
With a keen understanding of community dynamics, Marianne is deeply involved in supporting mental health initiatives that prioritize inclusion, accessibility, and empowerment. Her collaborative approach and unwavering dedication continue to shape positive outcomes for individuals living with diverse mental health needs.
Lameck Nderitu is a rising changemaker passionate about reimagining humanitarian action and inclusive governance through the bold lens of youth leadership. With academic grounding in International Relations and lived experience in Kenya’s dynamic civic landscape, Lameck bridges policy insight with grassroots conviction.
As Youth Lead at Ability Inclusion Alliance, he brings both energy and clarity—amplifying the voices of marginalized communities and pushing for systems that center dignity, access, and equity. His work spans advocacy, strategic mobilization, and storytelling, with a focus on disability inclusion, mental wellness, and youth participation in public life.
Lameck believes that real change starts from the ground up. He is deeply invested in the everyday struggles and collective aspirations of young people, not as passive beneficiaries but as co-architects of justice. He shows up with curiosity, courage, and a refusal to settle for surface reforms.
Driven, articulate, and deeply Pan-African in spirit, Lameck represents a new wave of leadership—one that’s as intellectually fierce as it is emotionally grounded.
S.Amina Mohamed is a passionate advocate for inclusive education and a dedicated board member of the Ability inclusion Alliance. With over 25 years of teaching experience, she currently serves as Vice principle and safeguarding lead in London where her commitment to creating safe, nurturing and equitable learning environments shines through every day.
Known for her kindness and unwavering empathy, she has an exceptional ability to connect with children- earning their trust, admiration, and affection. Her deep understanding of neurodiversity informs her approach, ensuring that every leaner feels values, supported and empowered to reach their full potential.
A natural leader, she blends expertise with compassion, championing practices that foster inclusion, celebrate diversity and protect the well-being of every child in her care.
Esther Mukiri brings over 15 years of expertise in administration and social development to the Ability Inclusion Alliance Board. Known for her warm spirit and strong leadership, she blends strategic thinking with a deep passion for empowering communities and creating lasting impact for persons with disabilitiesÂ
Fatima Abdishakur Mohamed is a compassionate counsellor and dedicated advocate for gender-based violence prevention and survivor protection. She joins Ability Inclusion Alliance to support our GBV programming and champion the rights and safety of women – especially those with disabilities.
Guided by faith, emphathy and commitment to dignity, Fatma creates safe spaces where survivors can heal, rebuild self-worth and reclaim their voice.
