At Ability Inclusion Alliance, we are building a society where no one is left behind. Our work focuses on breaking barriers in education, health, and community life while amplifying the voices of persons with disabilities through innovation and advocacy. Guided by inclusion, dignity, and equal opportunity, we deliver impact through three strategic focus areas:
1. Inclusive Learning and Education
Supporting learners with all disabilities with special emphasis on neurodivergent learners
Key initiatives include:
Early Identification, Screening & Placement – We conduct comprehensive assessments to identify children with neurodivergent conditions early, provide referrals, and ensure they are placed in school environments best suited to their needs.
Neurodivergent Scholarship Fund – Through our 501(c) fiscal sponsorship and in partnership with NCPWD, we select beneficiaries for scholarships, assistive devices, and specialized learning support, ensuring learners are placed in rightful, supportive school environments.
 1. Inclusive Education
Early Identification, Support, and Rightful Placement for Every Learner
At Ability Inclusion Alliance, we believe inclusive education is more than being in a classroom — it’s about being seen, understood, and supported to thrive. Our leadership includes a specialist recognized among the four experts in Kenya for identifying, screening, and placing children with neurodivergent conditions, including intellectual disabilities — a unique strength that sets our programs apart.

Inclusive Voice, Data, Innovation & Research
People-Centered Solutions for Real-World Needs
Ability Inclusion Alliance places a strong emphasis on local, people-centered solutions, particularly in assistive technology, to respond to the unique and individual needs of persons with disabilities.
We recognize that one-size-fits-all solutions do not work, especially for persons with invisible disabilities, whose challenges are often misunderstood or overlooked. That is why research and innovation sit at the heart of our approach.
Our work begins by conducting targeted research on specific challenges faced by individuals and communities, generating evidence that informs the design of practical, context-appropriate assistive technologies and interventions. This ensures that solutions are not imported or generic, but locally relevant, culturally appropriate, and responsive to real lived experiences.
Through this approach, we deliver people-centered solutions that enhance independence, participation, and dignity across the life course.
Our focus areas include:
- Research on individual and community-specific disability needs, with a strong emphasis on invisible disabilities
- Development and adaptation of local assistive technology solutions
- Use of data, AI, and digital tools to design smarter, inclusive interventions
- Innovation that supports education, health, communication, mobility, and livelihoods
- Building evidence to influence policy, programming, and investment in disability inclusion
3. Community Engagement & Livelihoods
Building inclusive, empowered families and communities
.We focus on:
Caregiver Support Groups: Spaces for Sharing, Learning, and Mental Wellness
The Alliance facilitates Caregiver Support Groups with the following core goals:
- Peer Support and Shared Experiences: Creating safe, welcoming spaces where caregivers can openly share their experiences, challenges, and victories with others who understand their journey.
- Mental Health and Emotional Wellness: Organizing regular wellness sessions, stress management workshops, and group therapy led by trained psychologists and counselors to support emotional well-being and reduce caregiver burnout.
